1969: Born on July 7th in Pozarevac , Serbia

1979: Started with budo training in local judo club in Pozarevac, Serbia. Head instructors: Dobrivoje Djuric and Ljubisa Jecic, 2nd DAN Judo.

1980-1984: Continued with judo, and unofficially trained in nunchaku and karate kumite under local karate sensei. Learned basic kendo techniques from judo instructors. Placed fourth in cadets division on national judo championship. Finished primary school as the best student in generation.

1985-1988: Continued with cross training in classical budo arts, under strong influence of books and videos from Kazuzo Kudo, Kanazawa, Hatsumi, Gozo Shioda, Masutatsu Oyama, etc. Participated on summer seaside seminars as elected future national judo representative. Made definitive decision to study medicine. This decision influenced potential sports career. Received ikkyu in judo and in shotokan karate, right before joining the Army for a year of mandatory service. Graduated from high school in Pozarevac Gymnasium as the best student in generation.

1989-1991: Gave several classes in Goshin Jutsu/Jujutsu to fellow soldiers (Mountain Infantry, Niksic, Montenegro). Finished with mandatory service in September 1989. Started with medical studies in Belgrade. Continued with cross training in Belgrade judo, karate, ki aikido, kickbox, and ninjutsu clubs. Founded the first Serbian Budo club in Pozarevac with fellow yudansha in 1991. This was the first Serbian club for cross training in Japanese martial arts. Received the title of 1st Dan budo (signed by several judo, karate and jujutsu yudansha from Budo Club). Posted as head instructor for judo, karate, jujutsu and Japanese weaponry (kenjutsu, nunchaku and shuriken at the time).

1992-1993: Opened Budo Club in Belgrade. Continued with visiting Belgrade martial arts clubs. Occasionally visited the Pozarevac Budo Club.

1994: Serbian Budo Council was officially registered as a sport organization by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia. Ivica Zdravkovic promoted by the Board of Black Belts into 3rd Dan budo, with instructional titles in judo, karate, jujutsu and weapons.

1995-1996: Graduated from Medical Faculty in Belgrade among the first in generation and returned to hometown of Pozarevac. Started working as a GP. Appointed Dejan Kostic sensei as a head instructor in Belgrade club. Took the role of head instructor in Pozarevac Budo Club. Initiated several smaller seminars and gatherings with other karate, judo and kendo clubs.

1997: Organized the first Serbian Nunchaku Championship, with patronage of Dejan Milosevic, European nunchaku champion under WANO (World Amateur Nunchaku Organization, Paris). Dejan Milosevic also held 5th Dan in nunchaku, 4th Dan in judo, and Dan grades in karate and ninjutsu. On this occasion Ivica Zdravkovic got promoted to 4th Dan Budo and won 4 state nunchaku medals with competitors from Budo Club Pozarevac. On the same year created and published the very first CD in martial arts in Serbia, a small multimedia in PowerPoint, called the "Japanese swordsmanship". Received the title of 3rd Dan kenjutsu from the Board of Black Belts of Serbian Budo Council.

1998: Successfully coached several karate competitors who won the state medals in kumite, and regional medals in kata. After the reorganization of Serbian Budo Council (SBC), became the president of SBC. As a president of SBC initiated renaming of former budo titles/ranks into jujutsu titles. Became officially 4th Dan jujutsu by the decision of General Assembly of SBC.

1999: Received membership certificates for Serbian Budo Council from American Ju-Jitsu Association (AJA) and from American Judo and Ju-Jitsu Federation (AJJF). Listed as Yondan Jujutsu on AJJF site. Got the invitation to demonstrate his art in front of DAN Commission of the new founded Serbian Jujutsu Federation. Recognized as 4th Dan Jujutsu and posted Technical director in this new federation. Run several jujutsu seminars in Serbia. Organized the "Pozarevac Karate Open" tournament, which gathered 11 clubs associated to SBC. Presented the award for the best sport coach by the Sport Federation of Branicevo - Eastern Serbia .

2000: Founded the Kenjutsu International Association of Instructors (KIAI). Presided over this organization till 2001. Edited 30 KIAI Online magazines. Meanwhile registered as a member of several other foreign organizations (Kunami Ryu Budokai, NIBF, NRMAI, etc.). Presented the Award of Significant Sport accomplishments by Sport Federation of Branicevo - Eastern Serbia. Wrote a first jujutsu manual with JJIF rules in Serbian. Published several articles in Serbian martial arts magazines. Edited the "Martial Arts Review of Pozarevac" - a small magazine of 12 martial arts clubs from Pozarevac area.

2001: Received 5th Dan in Jujutsu upon recommendation of Serbian Budo Council, signed by Ian Stewart sensei from York (UK), Development Officer and 6th Dan Aiki Jujutsu an Budo in Bushido Zazen International. The official style of SBC's Jujutsu was renamed into Gendai Goshin Ryu Jujutsu and as such has been presented in several international magazines, including "Kiai Echo".

2002: Run several jujutsu seminars in Serbia and initiated jujutsu competitions under the rules of Ju-Jutsu International Federation (JJIF). Won several medals with cadet and senior competitors. Received Menkyo Okuden GGR Jujutsu from Kokusai Gendai Budo Renmei, organization headed by Walt Bushey and Brett Denison from USA. Took over the former Budo club in Pozarevac as his private non-profit school of Japanese martial arts, and renamed it into Shinbukan Dojo. Renamed former kenjutsu of SBC into Shinbukan kenjutsu - recognized as Shinbukan Kenjutsu Menkyo Sensei (a.k.a. Menkyo Hiden) by KIAI. Edited and contributed articles for two books about Shotokan karate kata by M. Drndarevic sensei.

2003: Elected President of Referee's Commission in new-founded Jujutsu Federation of Serbia. Hosted large State Jujutsu kata cup in May. Hosted large SBC's Annual Seminar and the 1st KIAI International seminar with Ian Stewart and Nick Sleep, representatives of Bushido Zazen International Society (BZIS). Won silver medal on "Jujutsu Masters Kata Tournament" held in Pozarevac. Recognized from BZIS as 5th Dan Jujutsu and 3rd Dan Kenjutsu. Also, recognized as yudansha in shotokan karate and judo. Received Budo passport and Certificate signed by Arnold Davies sensei, 8th Dan budo, student of Kenshiro Abbe sensei. Received Doctorate in Martial Science for his work on KIAI and general lifetime achievement from ACMS.

2004: Became the advisor of new founded Kokusai Jissen Budo Kyokai. Participated on Easter Budo seminar of BZIS in England. Joined Martial Arts International Federation under George Anderson and Bruce R. Bethers sensei from USA. Promoted by MAIF into 5th Dan kenjutsu. Held numerous seminars in Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Czech Republic... Won numerous state and international titles with jujutsu competitors from Shinbukan Dojo. Accepted with Serbian Budo Council and Serbian Sports Chanbara Association to International Sports Chanbara Association (ISCA). Posted Head instructor for Chanbara in Serbia.

2005: Attended JJIF Technical Congress in Bulgaria. Founded European Sport Jujutsu Association (ESJA), which initially gathered more than 10 countries. Competed on 2nd European Sports Chanbara Championship in Moscow. Won 3rd place in Choken Iai division. Formed National Jujutsu and Chanbara (Sport kenjutsu) teams within Serbian Budo Council. Received 3rd Dan judo from International Traditional Kodokan Judo organization (ITKJ). Hosted large Annual Seminar of SBC and 3rd KIAI International seminar with guests from Great Britain, Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia. Continues with organization of national and international jujutsu and chanbara competitions under ISCA and ESJA rules with associates from Serbian Sports Chanbara Association and Ju-Jutsu Federation of Serbia.
